FAQS
Yes. As with any home, local council approval is required before construction can begin. Arcopod can manage the approval process on your behalf, including all required documentation, certifications and submissions. Our goal is to make approvals as straightforward and stress-free as possible.
Absolutely. Our pods are built to meet Australian building codes and standards, using high-quality materials and construction methods designed for long-term durability and energy efficiency.
Our standard ceiling height is 2.7 metres, giving every space a bright, open feel and enhancing natural airflow. This added height helps create a sense of spaciousness that sets Arcopod homes apart from typical modular designs.
All Arcopod homes are built using a traditional timber frame structure, similar to a conventional residential home. This approach combines the strength and reliability of traditional construction with the precision and efficiency of modular building, ensuring quality, longevity and ease of maintenance.
Yes. Depending on the location and distance from our factory, we can complete full or partial on-site builds. This option is often used for properties with limited access or unique site requirements.
Arcopod homes sit on a steel post footing system with posts concreted into the ground to engineered specifications. This modular subfloor design provides strength, stability and allows the home to sit above ground level, typically around 450 mm for ventilation and termite inspection. This system also allows Arcopods to be positioned on sloping or uneven blocks of land with minimal site disturbance.
Yes. Arcopod designs and builds modular cabins and pods that are ideal for retreats, short-stay accommodation and lifestyle properties. Each build is completed in our factory and delivered ready to install on-site. Our cabins combine comfort, efficiency and timeless design, making them perfect for rural properties, eco stays and wellness spaces.
